Michele Conti

Michele Conti (1931 - 1996)

From Turin, is considered to be the world's finest model car builder.

He began his career at Farina, Pininfarina and Ghia where he produced scale models of prototypes.

His favourite scale was 1:10 and he worked also 2500 hours for 1 model.

After studying photographs and technical drawings of the car, he carved a precise and highly detailed model from a solid piece of wood.

Over this he beat and formed the panels which were usually made of brass or aluminium.

An open car was normally made up of 3 panels, while a coupe' would have about 6 major pieces which were then soldered together.

What we offer are the original bucks and some unfinished prototypes body shells.
